When the promoter from IML Concerts heard music coming from the pub next door, he left his hotel bedroom to investigate and found Chris playing at the end of the evening’s open mic night at the Bull in Shrewsbury.

He was so impressed, he invited Chris to perform the support slot for Jools Holland with guest Lulu at the Quarry the following Friday. Having explained that he was one half of a duo, the reply was “even better”.

And so Nathan and Quinn kicked off the show on an extremely wet evening to play a forty minute set to a sea of thousands of umbrellas.

A chat with Jools at the end of the evening revealed he had heard their set and was impressed and a couple of days later, Nathan and Quinn were invited to support Jools for a second concert, this time at Durham Racecourse on the 28th July.
