On the 23rd February, Owen’s Brasserie played host to Tim Kliphuis from Holland on his Grappelli Tribute Tour of the UK. Accompanied by the outstanding talents of guitarist Gary Potter and double bass player John McCormick, Tim treated an enthralled audience to an evening of swing and gypsy jazz, with tunes from Cole Porter, George Gershwin and of course Stephane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt.

James joined the band, playing rhythm guitar for the second set and Chris also took to the stage to play “After you’ve gone”, “I got rhythm” and encore, “Sweet Georgia Brown” creating a true “Hot Club of Shrewsbury” for the evening.
