On the evening of 14th April 2004, The Badgers provided a fine set to demonstrate the qualities of a new Marshall amplifier, designed specifically for use with acoustic guitars.

The Marshall event, which was attended by over 200 people, was held at The Lord Hill Hotel in Shrewsbury and was sponsored by The Salop Music Centre.

Jim Marshall himself attended the event and spent a busy evening signing posters and copies of his new biography, The Father of Loud.

The features of several different Marshall amps were demonstrated and the evening concluded with a raffle, with prizes including amps, donated by The Salop Music Centre and by Jim Marshall. At the end of the event, Jim was driven off in his stretched limo back to Milton Keynes after assuring the audience he would be back at work in the Marshall factory at 6.00 the following morning.

The Badgers, meanwhile, had sloped off to the pub across the road!
